This is a joint TAL/Consortia Canada Subscription License Agreement for 2016. This is a Consortia Canada offering. OCUL is the lead.
LexisNexis is going to continue to offer the titles previously known as CCH Online to institutions just as Wolters Kluwer had previously. They will just be added to the Quicklaw platform for access purposes starting in January 2016. Any schools that have current access will have the WK titles added to their Quicklaw subscription. If a school doesn’t have a 2016 Quicklaw subscription, LexisNexis will provide access to a version of Quicklaw hosting just their CCH Online title(s) in the commentary folder. Alternatively, LexisNexis will provide a constant source identifier url that can be placed in intranet pages for access to specific title(s).
Late subscribers will be accepted.
If you wish to join, cancel or modify an existing LexisNexis subscription, please contact Christine Loo by Friday, November 20, 2015. Current subscriptions will be renewed if cancellation notice is not received by November 20, 2015.
LexisNexis Canada has a national network of trainers who are able to visit any site to provide in-person training for library staff and for core user groups.
LexisNexis Academic: Usage stats for LNA are available. More information here.
Quicklaw: Quicklaw stats are available; however they are the standard report formats which law firms utilize, and are not COUNTER format. Currently there is a single password per consortium. Among the reports there is a basic one which gives the number of searches and fulltext document retrievals in a given time period for a given institution. Please contact the licensing librarian for information.
