Please find below resource(s) available for Renewal
Renewal information is now ready for OUP products. Ten resources from OUP are a part of a joint Consortia Canada license and coordinated by BC ELN. Other OUP products not offered by ConCan may be offered by TAL; there are currently a number of TAL licensed OUP products outside of the Consortia Canada license and others may be added if there is interest. Pricing is availalbe upon request for other products.
The products now available through TAL (via the Consortia Canada license) include:
Outside of Consortia Canada license, TAL may offer any OUP product for which there is demand amongst member libraries. Please contact Licensing Librarian for pricing. Currently, the following additional OUP products are offered by TAL (not a part of Consortia Canada):
The BC Electronic Library Network (BC ELN) is the lead of this Consortia Canada (ConCan) license. TAL is processing renewals for TAL member libraries.
Price increases vary, usually 3-4%.
The Oxford Dictionaries underwent a repositioning in 2016. By separating out the languages as single subscriptions, OUP hoped to add flexibility so institutions can license only the specific languages that they want. This latest year has seen a price increase well above the 4% that other products have in order to account for the flexible options. Moving forward pricing should follow similar increases as other OUP products. We understand that OUP may be in contact directly with institutions that are affected by this repositioning. We’re still discussing Oxford Dictionaries with OCLC Canada and OUP. We’ll provide details as they become available.
Late joins will be accepted; subscriptions will be pro-rated.
If you wish to join, cancel, or change a subscription, please contact Christa Foley by Monday, June 19, 2017. If cancellation notice is not received by June 19, current subscriptions will be renewed.
