This is a new TAL offering for ProQuest Academic Video Online (AVON), a video subscription collection.
This is a joint TAL/COPPUL/BC ELN offering. TAL is the lead.
This is a multi-disciplinary video subscription collection.
Academic Video Online is the most comprehensive video subscription available to libraries. It delivers over 61,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. There is Canadian content, new videos added for Colleges and undergrads, and 360/Virtual Reality videos.
All of the Virtual Reality content can be found here (currently 175 videos): https://video.alexanderstreet.com/channel/360-vr

Includes over 1,000 French videos, and content from Canadian publishers and producers such as: CinéFête, National Film Board of Canada, Winnipeg Film Group, Entertainment One Ltd., Marty Gross Film Productions, Lemay Media, Wakiponi Mobile, Inuit Broadcast Corporation, Athene Films.
Purchase perpetual access titles in addition to the subscription: We call it “Build by Choice.” At the end of each full calendar year (in this case, due to April 1 start, it would be December of 2021) participating members would get a title list with usage, and they could then select the videos they would like to own. The price of a video is generally $499, so a $5,000 subscription would select 10 videos, for example. This is available for every year an institution subscribes.
The Media hosting service allows subscribers to:
• Publish and share multimedia (video, PDF, audio) across your institution
• Digitize lecture-capture, performances, football games, faculty experiments, and more.
Public Performance Rights are included at no charge, provided the institution does not charge an admission fee or ask for a donation.
Late joins will be accepted. Prices will be pro-rated.
If you wish to join this new TAL offering, please contact Christa Foley by Friday, March 13, 2020. A subscriber agreement will be sent for signing.
