Please find below resource(s) available for Renewal
Renewal pricing for Project MUSE is now available. The early deadline is needed to meet the vendor's renewal deadline.
Pricing is for academic libraries.
For 2021, MUSE is holding pricing flat. As a result, there is no increase in content. Any new content is due to attrition.
This is a Consortia Canada offering; TAL is the lead.
From the vendor:
25 Years of Project MUSE!
We are pleased to be celebrating a milestone anniversary this year! MUSE has been an integral part of the scholarly communications ecosystem for 25 years, providing libraries with affordable access to vetted, essential scholarship from our community of distinguished not-for-profit publishers. In an era of continuous change, our mission - the sustainable dissemination of trusted content - remains constant. By distributing the significant majority of our revenue from library purchases directly back to our university-based publishers, we return a great deal of value to the system of scholarship, rather than extracting it. We invest in maintaining a platform that provides for crucial needs of discoverability and accessibility, complies with major information standards, and offers library-friendly and user-friendly terms. We sincerely appreciate the many ways in which our long-term relationships with our library consortium partners have contributed to our longevity, shaped our policies and priorities, helped us better serve our subscribers, and enabled our shared success.
Journal Collection Updates for 2021
One of the consequences of freezing collection prices for 2021 is that Project MUSE will not be able to incorporate new titles into its journal collections as usual, only replace for attrition. There will be two new journals joining the Premium Collection for 2021, The French Review and T’ang Studies. Both will make available ten years of prior volumes along with their current issues. These titles are being added to offset attrition from journals that are ceasing publication or no longer contributing new issues to MUSE due to a change in ownership, as MUSE works only with not-for-profit publishers. All content previously released on the MUSE platform remains available to applicable subscribers. Full details on collection updates are available at https://about.muse.jhu.edu/librarians/journal-title-upgrades.
Project MUSE continues to offer a variety of journal collection options to suit the needs of many kinds of libraries. More information, including a downloadable chart comparing the titles available in each collection, may be found at https://about.muse.jhu.edu/librarians/journal-collections/. We are always happy to assist subscribing libraries with a usage analysis to ensure they are subscribing to the MUSE collection that best fits their needs and budget. Please contact us if you have member libraries wishing to further explore their subscription choices.

MUSE routinely makes available new materials that libraries may download or order at no charge for use in sharing information with their user populations. Subscribing libraries are encouraged to bookmark and visit often our “For Librarians” page (http://muse.jhu.edu/about/librarians/index.html) to access tools such as usage statistics and holdings downloads, view available training resources, sign up for our e-newsletter, and submit requests for free instructional and promotional materials.
Update on OA Content on MUSE

We anticipate hosting hundreds more through initiatives including the NEH Humanities Open Book program, Knowledge Unlatched, TOME, Mellon grants and other publisher and institution driven programs. Books are available in a highly discoverable, adaptable format using HTML5, rather than static PDF’s and include free MARC and KBART records. https://about.muse.jhu.edu/muse/open-access-overview/
