Online Reference Centre

The Online Reference Centre provides a unique collection of online reference and information resources in both English and French. The ORC is made available for K-12 students, teachers and parents through a Grant-in-Aid to The Alberta Library from Alberta Education.

Access is granted by entering a username and password specific to the school district the student is registered in.

To visit the Online Reference Centre, go to http://www.learnalberta.ca/

Access to the Online Reference Centre requires a login and password which can be obtained by contacting the ORC Coordinator here: contact us.

  • Access the ORC Support Site at www.onlinereferencecentre.ca for resource training materials.

In September 2013 public library staff were included in all ORC contracts for the purposes of training and supporting K-12 patrons. (Community librarians PowerPoint presentation)
For more information or to schedule an ORC training session contact admin@thealbertalibrary.ab.ca
