    Chief Executive Officer

    Margaret Law is the CEO and is responsible for oversight, partner relationships and new opportunities.  She has a Doctorate in Organizational Behaviour as well as many years of library experience, and a professional commitment to improved collaboration to enhance library service. Margaret eagerly awaits spring weather for gardening and reading outside with her dogs.

  • Renée LeBlanc, CMA, CPA
    Finance Manager

    Renée has been with TAL since 2011. Renée helms TAL's financial ship with her accountant's eye for detail and deep knowledge of TAL's vision, mission, and values. She is a CPA, CMA, enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and exercises more than the rest of the team combined.

  • Brian Lin, MLIS
    IT Librarian

    Brian works with TAL's membership to share resources through the province wide discovery system TAL Online, offsite authentication and other projects. He loves working with the amazing library staff across Alberta and Canada to come up with creative solutions to further enhance library service throughout the province.

  • Lorisia MacLeod, MLIS
    Learning Services Librarian

    Lorisia brings Discovery Link to life with her enthusiasm to support Alberta's K-12 educators and learners. She is a proud member of the James Smith Cree Nation and completed her MLIS degree at the University of Alberta while presenting across Canada on topics ranging from citation to indigenization. She enjoys reading comics, 3D printing, and travelling to conferences to meet new folks.

  • Jocelyn Badley, MLIS
    Licensing Librarian

     

    Jocelyn came to TAL in 2020 after many years in public libraries. She manages the post-secondary and special library licensing and works on several other projects to help support other staff and build TAL's capacity. She’s very happy to be working with such a friendly, competent team and getting a chance to connect with libraries across the province! Jocelyn is a late-night reader, a gamer, an enthusiastic but under-performing gardener, and a part-time maker.

  • Cole Boychuk, MLIS
    Infrastructure Librarian

    Cole has worked at TAL in two capacities—first as a licensing assistant in 2019, and now supporting TAL with their technical expertise. They have a love for connectedness and resource sharing that they are excited to share with TALs membership and libraries across Alberta. In their downtime Cole enjoys building Gundam models, playing video games, and geocaching.
