study guides: TAL has partnered with Castle Rock Research to provide access to The KEY study guides at a special TAL member price.

discovery link: Discovery Link is an opt-in licensing program that allows you to choose which databases best suit your K-12 school/school board.

accounting services: TAL provides bookkeeping and accounting services to small and mid-size libraries and library associations. Receive personalized support and advice on a broad range of business issues from a designated accountant who understands libraries and their specific administrative needs.

TAL card: A card that provides borrowing privileges at all TAL card participating libraries across Alberta.

the library toolshed: A joint venture between The Alberta Library, The Association B.C. Public Library Directors, and The Manitoba Public Library Services Branch, hosted by the B.C. Libraries Coop. The Toolshed is an online platform for library staff to share, download and comment on library training resources.

Lois Hole campus alberta digital library (LHCADL): an initiative established by the Alberta Government, funded by Alberta Advanced Education. It was created as a legacy to the late, the Honourable Lois Hole to continue her vision of greater learning opportunities for all Albertans.The initiative provides 35 participating post-secondary institutions in Alberta with access to commercially licensed digital resources and newly created collections of unique digitized content.

alberta research portal: grants all Albertans perpetual access to the Gale Primary Sources database, featuring 69 collections covering diverse topics like First Nations history and human sexuality. Accessible without login requirements, it includes various primary sources like newspapers and photographs, made possible through collaborative funding efforts exemplifying TAL’s mission.

calgary herald (1883-2010) archive: grants all Albertans with access to the Calgary Herald. The link provided also searches ProQuest’s Publicly Available Content database.
