- audit support: review internal controls and provide recommendations that support assurance that transactions are appropriately authorized and accurately recorded. Coordinate with year-end accountants to ensure a smooth audit process.
- budget management: provide templates and assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder reporting for informed decision making and good governance.
- risk management: review compliance to accounting standards and legislation, including requirements from Alberta Pension Services, the administrator of the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
